Deaf Children Development Conference

Deaf Parents Deaf Children co-founder Lilli Beese, is on behalf of DCAL hosting a one day research update and collaboration conference at City University on Tuesday September 11th.

DCAL will be explaining their findings from past research in an accessible and relevant way with suggestions for practice and policy making.  There will be a chaired question and answer session with leading experts and asking you your opinion and advice on what DCAL should be doing in the future. There will also be information stalls, interesting research demonstrations, freebies and refreshments.

Amongst the invited speakers will be the DCAL directors and associated researchers, Sue Archbold from the Ear Foundation, Gwen Carr from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, Hilary Sutherland a Deaf Research Consultant, Ian Noon a Campaigns Officer for the National Deaf Children’s Society, Brigitte Francois Director from SignVideo, Robin Ash a Community Development Team Manager from the British Deaf Association, Helen Foulkes  Family Sign Language Project Manager at National Deaf Children’s Society, Ros Herman Senior Lecturer in Deafness and Hearing Impairment at City University and other experts in education and mental health areas.
