BSL family sessions at the Horniman Museum on Saturday 7th May

The Horniman Museum are celebrating International Dawn Chorus Day with a number of different events aimed at families on Saturday 7thMay.  Our popular ‘Hands On’ and ‘Art Makers’ family sessions will also be interpreted into BSL on this day to mark the end of Deaf Awareness Week.

Hands On Flying allows families to touch and explore objects from our Natural History collection.  Come along and find out which animals can fly and which can’t  – you may just be surprised! These sessions are free and open to families with children aged 3+, tickets are available from the chalkboard in front of the Information Desk 30 minutes before the start of each session.

Session times:

 11.45 am & 1.00 pm

In our Art Makers sessions, we will be making some Bouncing Birds – you’ll decorate a beautiful bird with folded wings which can bounce up and down on elastic.  These sessions carry a charge of £3 per child.

 1.30 pm & 2.45 pm
